1997 Lexus Es300
In 1997, Lexus ES300 came as a mere remake of the previous ES300s. The 1997 ES300
came in with more features, more interior space, stiffer body and with new style.
Like other ES300 vehicles, the '97 ES300 were also packed with power windows,
door locks and other feats that are standard in all ES300. Additional standard
features for this ride includes leather upholstery, power seats with memory and
traction control. Basically, ES300s has a unibody structure. This structure was
made more rigid for the 1997 model, which includes stretching the car's body 50
mm between the axles. This was done so as to give a more quiet and easily controlled
ride.

Small changes and innovations were visible inside the car that includes real-wood
accent trim, repositioned climate control swithchgear and a smaller trunk. The
analog gauges were remained clear and a bumper-level cut on the vehicles made
loading easier. Suspension design were still the same, however for the car to
have slight improvement in riding quality and steering response, some things were
tweaked. An optional AVS were also available to allow drivers to customize the
car's riding quality by having varied shock damping through electronic controls.
An added backseat were also among the improvement available on the 1997 ES300.
For better illumination on night travels, projector beams on headlights were
replaced with a multi-reflector design. For safety standards, crash resistance
were upgraded. For convenience, greenhouse received more glass with special coating
that in turn provides better visibility and traps most of ultraviolet rays keeping
passengers cool inside.
